She received her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. Fans of medical thrillers, police procedurals and TV programs, such as "CSI" and "Bones," should really enjoy this book. Her work-life is a constant struggle against the police department's "old boy" attitude.

All her life she has had to compete with her Alpha male brothers and now she is the only female homicide detective on the Boston force. I have heard from so many people that Amazon Books was a wonderful place to buy books online. However it has been well over a month since my order and I have enquired of you twice about why I have not recieved my purchase nor heard anything from it. She is constantly being hunted down by serial killers.she is the target of all the criminals in her 1st and 2nd outing. Jane Rizzoli, tough, wimpy, studly, pussy cat, fearless, cowering female cop. Her personality changes with each page. The books ending has her set up for another criminal adventure with her as the intended victim again. By the tenth installment, hopefully someone will finish the job and put poor Jane out of her misery.This was a hopelessly silly book.
It's nothing like the first book. And there are parts that contradict. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Yet we read in his letters to her the complete opposite of what she told us he said. Then it falls off and it falls off hard. This is dull, bland and aggravating.In a nutshell: Nothing happens.
The first few chapters start out great. I was at first thinking that this book was reading better than The Surgeon. I must say, I'm confused at the reviews labeling this as "The Surgeon 2". As if two versions had been written and rather than choose the best one they just stuck 'em both in.I couldn't say enough about how much I liked The Surgeon, though. Scenes are redundant and pointless. The woman who evaluates Hoyt while in prison describes him to us. And I do like Jane Rizzoli so I'm probably going to read part 3 in the series.
I can't state that enough. The Surgeon was clever, suspenseful and gory. And why in the world is information so needlessly repeated. Absolutely nothing happens. Nothing happens.What's worse, is that this book literally repeats itself. It's like are reading two different variations on a chapter back to back. But, if it sucks, I'm done with the Rizzoli & Isles books for sure.
